Now entering our 11th season, we provide boys and girls in 3rd through 8th grade the opportunity to learn wrestling, build confidence, develop discipline, and compete as part of a team.

About Our Organization

Welcome to the Junior Cougars Wrestling Club of Sacramento! We are a nonprofit youth wrestling program serving boys and girls in grades 3–8. Our season runs from November through March, giving young athletes the opportunity to learn folkstyle/collegiate-style wrestling in a positive, structured, and supportive environment.

Whether your child is stepping onto the mat for the first time or building on previous experience, our volunteer coaches focus on teaching strong wrestling fundamentals while helping each athlete grow in discipline, confidence, work ethic, sportsmanship, resilience, and respect. These lessons extend far beyond wrestling and help children become stronger, more confident individuals.

Located in Sacramento’s Pocket/Greenhaven community, Junior Cougars Wrestling Club is a tax-exempt nonprofit organization recognized under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Our club is run entirely by volunteers, and all administrative and coaching responsibilities are performed without compensation. Our Federal Employer Identification Number (EIN) is 81-4045867. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

The Junior Cougars Wrestling Club of Sacramento is an independent organization. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or operated by the Elks Lodge, John F. Kennedy High School, or the Sacramento City Unified School District. The Elks Lodge generously provides the Club with use of its facility but does not operate, supervise, or administer our club or wrestling activities.
