The officially recognized name of our Club is, the Junior Cougars Wrestling Club of Sacramento. We are dedicated to teaching boys and girls, 3rd grade to 8th grade, the ancient martial art of wrestling. The focus is on folk/collegiate-style wrestling.   

We are a nonprofit amateur sports team located in the Pocket/Greenhaven neighborhood in Sacramento, California, and are registered as an IRC Section 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.    Our federal employment identification number is 81-4045867. Financial support is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.   

The Club is a private, independent organization and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or associated with any other organization, including but not limited to the City of Sacramento; John F. Kennedy High School; the Sacramento Unified School District; any of the District’s schools; or any of their administrators, employees, staff, coaches, volunteers, or representatives. The Club is also not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or associated with Elk’s Lodge #6, the California State Elks Association, or the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the United States of America, nor any of their officers, members, employees, volunteers, or representatives.
